MLK reading comprehension

Yesterday we worked through an article about Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.  Students "talked to the text" on sticky notes while they read.  I then paired up students with partners close to their same Lexile score, and they discussed what they noted as they read through the text.  It was so great to hear my struggling readers identifying important points in the text and feeling successful about their success!
